Judith de Jong is a PhD candidate at the Germany Institute Amsterdam and the Faculty of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) since 2019. In her doctoral research, she studies how Dutch, French and German citizens with immigrant backgrounds evaluate political representation. She completed the Research Master's program in Social Science at the UvA, focusing on destigmatisation strategies among Dutch Muslims and the effects of sociolegal barriers in the lives of partners with unequal residence status. She has worked and studied at McGill University and Washington University in St. Louis.
