Lisa Herbig

From 2022 to 2026, Lisa Herbig was a PhD candidate at the Amsterdam School for Regional, Transnational and European Studies (ARTES) and the Duitsland Instituut Amsterdam. During her PhD research, which was made possible in part by Volkswagen Stiftung, she examined how intra-EU border policies impact political attitudes.

Previously, Lisa has worked on the Viral Communication Project, which explored changes in public opinion through the course of the pandemic in Germany. Topics covered in the project included the support for preventive measures, vaccination willingness, trust in political and scientific actors as well as conspiracy beliefs.

Lisa holds a Master in Intercultural Psychology from Osnabrück University and a Bachelor in Psychology from the Goethe University Frankfurt. During her bachelor she studied for a semester at the University of Amsterdam.
